Black Simon and Garfunkel is one of the best recurring bits on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Yes, it’s just Captain Kirk Douglas and Questlove doing pop songs in the style of Simon and Garfunkel, but it still works, in part because they are such talented musicians.
Earlier this week, Black Simon and Garfunkel were trotted out again, this time to take on Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood.” Their simple black turtlenecks and acoustic guitar may lack the panache of Swift’s over the top music video for “Bad Blood,” but sometimes simple is better. This may not be the best performance from Black Simon and Garfunkel, but this is a bit that never fails to at least amuse.
