Blink-182’s ‘Rabbit Hole’ Is The Third Single To Get Excited About From Their New Album

It’s been a big week for Blink-182 fans. First came the announcement of a ukulele cover album, and today another new single from their upcoming album has dropped. With just a few weeks until Blink-182 release California, their first effort in five years and first with Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba, the group has premiered the new single, “Rabbit Hole.” This is the third single from Blink’s newly revamped lineup, after releasing “Bored to Death” and the short, goofball, vintage-Blink interlude “Built This Pool.”

Mark Hoppus mans the majority of the vocal duties on “Rabbit Hole,” but Matt Skiba does add backing vocals during the chorus and takes over singing for the second verse of the track. The song’s main chorus features Mark and Matt singing, “I won’t fall down that f*cking rabbit hole,” possibly a reference to former member Tom DeLonge and the acrimony the group experienced through in the past.

California will be Blink’s seventh studio album and the first since the departure of the aforementioned DeLonge, who is spending his time focusing on things like UFOs, his band Angels & Airwaves, and dreaming of turning Blink-182 into a Coldplay-type band.
