Bruce Springsteen Played Another Asbury Park Bar Show

Bruce Springsteen already comes off a bit like the world’s most accomplished bar band leader, so the recent kick he’s been on makes sense. The Boss made yet another surprise appearance at an Asbury Park bar.

Springsteen hopped on stage with his brother-in-law’s band Timepiece at the Wonder Bar on August 1. He took over vocal duties for covers of Van Morrison’s “Brown-Eyed Girl” and Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Born on the Bayou.”

Springsteen didn’t hog the spotlight, however. He dropped back and played rhythm guitar for “634-5789″ and “You Really Got a Hold on Me.”

The Born in the USA singer has made a habit of popping up unexpectedly in recent weeks. He played a two-hour set with Joe Grushecky and The Houserockers in the same venue two weeks ago. U2 and Brian Wilson shows have also been crashed by Bruce in the last month.
