Chris Brown Denies Claims That He Stomped On A Fan’s Head In Cannes

Generally speaking, the bond between performer and fan is one that is best observed from a safe distance. In the age of the internet it might feel like we are all closer together and can share more of our moments between each other — famous or not — but there are still real barriers in place. Singer Chris Brown is an emotional guy, not an always rational guy and a guy who shares a lot of stuff with his fans via social media.

So when video started to circulate of Chris Brown stomping on the head of a fan at a show in Cannes, well, people started to ask questions. Brown, never one to sit back, decided to reply, according to Us Magazine. He did so via his Instagram and did so in his own words. According to him, there wasn’t an altercation that involved him assaulting a fan. There may have been a fan who got a little rough, but the club’s staff took care of it and nobody was hurt.

Malek Mokrani, the fan being stomped on by Brown seems to disagree with that, claiming that he indeed was injured and plans on filing a police report against Brown. Someone on Brown’s team who is most likely aware of how litigious people can be seemingly urged him to take it down. That means that the video is no longer up on his Instagram, but it was on the internet, so it will live on. Brown did get to flip off TMZ, at least.
