Chris Brown Drops A New Song ‘What Would You Do’ Only A Few Hours After Being Released From Jail

It’s been a rough few days for Chris Brown. After he was accused of pointing a gun at a woman’s face during a party at his home, Chris surrendered to police following a long standoff on Tuesday. Eventually, he was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and taken to jail, where he posted $250,000 bond and bailed out with his freedom.

Throughout the entire ordeal, Brown has maintained his innocence and, curiously enough, his first public statement after paying his bail was releasing some new music. Because that’s what musicians do, after all. “With all this bullsh*t and everything going on man,” Chris said in a video on his Instagram account. “I’ma just going to turn the other cheek, drop some music.”

So he did just that, uploading “What Would You Do” onto his Soundcloud account soon after. While the title may suggest the song is somewhat related to the whole controversy, it’s not. At least not overtly. Instead, the track is an uptempo dance number, although there is a bit of an uplifting message about powering through adversity. So, maybe a coincidence, maybe not. Who knows?

Check out “What Would You Do” below, supposedly from his forthcoming album Heartbreak On A Full Moon:
