Converse Is Releasing Four Music Documentaries On Legendary Music Studios And Rising Artists

Fans of music documentaries were in for quite a treat today, as a trailer for four new music docs from Converse debuted on Noisey. The documentaries in question will be debuting on Noisey at a rate of one per week over the next month. They focus on up-and-coming musicians from around the world, and each one has involvement from one or more legendary musician.

These are the four films that will be premiering, along with their release dates:

“Forever Vacation” featuring Brasilian alt-rock band, Water Rats, and special guests, Thurston Moore and Jack Endino

o Release Date: February 24, 2016

o Recording Studio: Avast Recording Co. in Seattle, Washington, USA

· “The Undergraduate” featuring Providence-based rapper/musician, DAP, and special guest, Mark Ronson and Ken Scott

o Release Date: March 2, 2016

o Recording Studio: Abbey Road Studios in London, England

· “4,700 Miles” featuring British indie-rock quartet, The Magic Gang, and special guests, Sly and Robbie

o Release Date: March 9, 2016

Recording Studio: Tuff Gong in Kingston, Jamaica

· “A Band of Five” featuring Chinese punk rock group, Pumpkins, and special guest, Marky Ramone

o Release Date: March 16, 2016

o Recording Studio: Hansa Tonstudio in Berlin, Germany

The film series is part of Converse’s Rubber Tracks platform, a “global studio takeover,” in which musicians from over 25 different countries were given the chance to record in 12 of the world’s most iconic music studios, including Abbey Road Studios in London, and Stankonia in Atlanta. Much like the platform itself, this film series will give international artists an opportunity to introduce themselves to a greater audience, while making North American music fans aware of artists who may not have been on their radar otherwise.
