How can a man holding a xylophone be so lethargic? GET IT TOGETHER, PLUNKY.

A few weeks ago, Cookie Monster won Twitter with a joke about Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe.” Today, Sesame Street posted a new video on their Tumblr and said, “We made a joke. You re-blogged like crazy. So we made this video. Share it maybe.” In the video, Cookie Monster predictably breaks down his unnatural love for cookies, but he does so in rhyme to the tune of “Call Me Maybe.” Still a better love story than Twilight.

I didn’t think I’d enjoy a puppet-related “Call Me Maybe” parody more than the Glove and Boots one, yet here we are. Oh, Sesame Street, why must you be so consistently competent and adorable? You make me wish I were a better person. Then I remember alcohol exists and I go back to living in my trash can and yelling at children. I learned it by watching you.
