The death announcement of a famous figure is a momentous thing. Everyone wants to accurately convey the loss and best sum up the life of a person that touched so many lives. But, much to the chagrin of Heart FM newscaster Fiona Winchester, accidents still happen. Winchester kicked off the 8:30 a.m. newscast by announcing that Great Britain’s Prime Minister David Cameron (and not rock star David Bowie) had died.

Winchester quickly corrected herself, though, so her announcement came across as “David Cameron has died…D-D-David Bowie has died.”

In Winchester’s defense, she probably reads “David Cameron” over the airwaves a lot more than she does Bowie. And she was likely just as stunned as the rest of us when Bowie died suddenly, after privately battling cancer for 18 months. After all, the man released a brand-new album just last week.

While some on social media took the opportunity to roast the news presenter, Cameron, being alive and well, decided to tweet his thoughts about the death of Bowie.
