dc Talk Are Reuniting For The First Time In 16 Years For The ‘Jesus Freak’ Cruise

More and more musicians, it seems, are finding themselves on cruises. Artists that may not necessarily be as popular as they once were can at least get a cruise ship and wrangle together enough diehard fans who want to spend a few days on a boat watching artists like Kid Rock, 311, or Weezer, presumably while getting drunk, because it is a cruise after all. One cruise that may have a little less partying, but plenty of music, is the upcoming Jesus Freak Cruise. Yeah, it’s a Christian music cruise…but at least they have dc Talk.

Yes, dc Talk, the Christian rock band that gives the cruise it’s “Jesus Freak” name, are reuniting after 16 years apart. They just happen to be doing it on a boat. The four time winners of the Grammy for Best Rock Gospel Album will be joined by other Christian musicians such as Newsboys and, obviously, TobyMac. In addition to all the Christian rock you will be able to hear on the boat, there is bowling, an infinity pool, and something called “Graffiti Teen Club.” Don’t you want to know what a “Graffiti Teen Club” is?

The cruise sets off in July 2017. Tickets are currently available, but it’s 85 percent sold out. Either this cruise is really for you, or not for you at all. If it’s not for you, well, there’s probably a different music cruise out there that is.
