Deadheads of America rejoice! This summer, the supergroup Dead And Company comprised of members of that seminal ’60s rock group the Grateful Dead that includes Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart, along with John Mayer on guitar are hitting the road once again to bring blissful jams to a stadium and/or amphitheater near you. The tour is set to kick off in May in Massachusetts, and will wind its way across the U.S., hitting most major markets, including a two-night stand at Citi Field in New York City in June.
Dead And Company’s last live run was a stunning success that was cut just a little short near the end because of an emergency appendectomy procedure that sidelined Mayer in December. With time to recover, the guitarist appears ready and eager to jam with the Dead alumnus once again, and kick off what will surely be one of the hottest tickets of the summer.
