Demi Lovato took to Instagram to poke fun at herself for botching an incredibly easy interview question, in which Demi was asked what her favorite dish was, and answered “mugs” instead of her favorite food, as the question suggested. As you can see above, she seems to be taking her ditzy moment in stride, posing with a gaggle of black mugs with the hashtags #mugshot and #ilovemugs. The photo is a classy and funny response to a moment in which she could clearly have been embarrassed.
Demi’s summer promotion of her song, “Cool for the Summer,” and corresponding tour schedule, have led to many humorous incidents for the former Disney star, such as her faceplant, appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, and her having to address an uncomfortable rumor about her treatment of her “Lovatics.” Good for her for taking this latest embarrassment in stride and turning a moment of perceived stupidity into one everyone can laugh about.
Still, there’s no defending that Iggy Azalea collaboration. Nothing Demi can do on social media can make us forget about that.
