It’s impossible to cover each bit of new music that comes out during the week, so every Friday, we’ll be doing an end of the week music roundup. It’s called Final Track, and we’ll count off a few songs released during the week that are worth giving a listen to. (Banner via)
Today, we’ve got selections from Big Boi, Andre 3000, Pissed Jeans, and more.
“100 Black Coffins” by Rick Ross and Jamie Foxx
“OMG OMG OMG” is the official UPROXX statement on “100 Black Coffins,” from the Django Unchained soundtrack. Can’t you already see the blood splattering on the screen while this foreboding song plays?
“Bathroom Laughter” by Pissed Jeans
This track actually came out late last week, but it’s worth highlighting because if angry fuzz-punks Pissed Jeans, whose band name really says it all, had released an album this year, they’d have been on our Reasons Why “Rock Is Dead” Is a Dumb Thing to Say list. Thankfully, in 2013, they won’t repeat 2012’s sins, and will put out their fourth album, Honeys, in February.
“Dirty Shirt” by Metz
One of 2012’s best “came out of nowhere” bands, Metz, closes the year with “Dirty Shirt,” a fittingly filthy blast of untamed noise. Watch out for these guys in 2012.
“Sorry” by T.I. w/ Andre 3000

“In the A” by Big Boi w/ Ludacris and T.I.
Not to be outdone by his former Outkast partner, Big Boi released a song of his own this week, “In the A,” an ATLiens-referencing ode to Atlanta from Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors, one of December’s very few must-listen albums.
“Waking Dream” by Bleeding Rainbow
Girl-boy harmonies surrounded by quiet-loud-quiet echoes. That’s a good dream.
“Blue Ice” by Shout Out Louds
Unlike their hushed vibe compared to their Shout Out Louds moniker, “Blue Ice” is an all too literal title:
Indie rockers Shout Out Louds have released “Blue Ice,” their first new piece of music in three years, in an extremely limited-edition 7-inch single that plays on, well, ice. There are only 10 kits capable of producing the record, each of which comes with a mold and a bottle of water to freeze in that mold to make an ice-based record. “Blue Ice” is the first single off the group’s upcoming, as-yet-untitled, full-length album. Let the Mr. Freeze puns commence. IZ AN ICE SONG, etc.
