“You’ve Got Me Wonderin’ Now” by Parquet Courts
As a follow-up to this year’s excellent Light Up Gold, earnest garage rockers (or whatever guys in Brooklyn use instead of garages — parking garages?) Parquet Courts are releasing a five-track EP, Tally All the Things That You Broke, in October. Here’s the respectably punky first single, “You’ve Got Me Wonderin’ Now.”

When not bitching about God on Twitter, The Office creator Ricky Gervais occasionally slips back into his unironed David Brent shirts and plays original compositions. “Slough” is no “Free Love Freeway,” but it’s the song Toro y Moi decided to cover. It sounds like David Bowie on Vicodin.
