Gallant Suffers The Consequences Of Jhene Aiko’s Broken Heart In Their ‘Skipping Stones’ Video

Gallant continues his big year with a new video for “Skipping Stones” with Jhene Aiko, the Adriane Young and Stint-produced track from the R&B singer’s debut album, Ology. It builds on the buzz he built from a feature on our very own Uncharted Series and a captivating performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The “Skipping Stones” video is directed by American Millennial and tells a twisted tale of revenge after a relationship gone wrong. Gallant wakes up in the trunk of a vehicle driven by Aiko, with a gash on his forehead and his arms bound with duct tape. After the camera ominously pans over a can of gasoline in the backseat, the car comes to a halt and Aiko sets it ablaze by throwing an open lighter into the front seat. Unfortunately, it seems like Gallant doesn’t quite make it out alive, but he did break an arm through one of the rear headlights before the fire.

Life isn’t slowing down for the the Los Angeles-based singer anytime soon. It would be difficult for him to top his Coachella appearance, when he brought out his idol Seal, but he’s certainly going to give it a shot when he performs during the first weekend of Austin City Limits this year.
