You didn’t expect anything that Ghostface Killah has his hands on to be normal, did you? The Wu-Tang Clan member has finally responded to pharma bro Martin Shkreli’s “goon” video with a video of his own that includes Pee Wee Herman photoshops, Batman ’66 clips and animated Peter Pan clip art.
Ghost — who started the beef by repeatedly calling Shkreli a “sh*thead” — takes shots at Martin’s street cred (by comparing the size of their middle knuckles), accuses Shkreli of having a “12-year-old body” and goes after him for the price-gouging tactics that made Shkreli a household name in the first place. The rapper brings out his own “goons,” who turn out to be his mom, sister and another lady.
“If I was your mother, I’d whip your ass,” Ghostface’s sister said.
“Do you have any morals?” his mother added. “How were you raised?”
At this point, the video turns into an ad for Ghostface’s line of THC oil called “Wu Goo.” The oil, which is meant to be used in a vape pen, is a collaboration with Wu-Tang affiliate Killah Priest. But at least we got a sufficient response before things went promotional and it’s better than anything we’ll get out of Ellie Goulding.
Martin Shkreli was getting cocky in the absence of a response from Ghostface. During his interview with The Breakfast Club, Shkreli said he would smack Ghost in the mouth. He told the hosts it was a “man thing.”
“I have a tremendous amount of respect for the whole clan including Ghost, but we’re talking musically. There’s a difference between music and real life and personas… It’s a man thing. You take shots at me, I’m gonna come back at you, especially publicly.”
We can’t wait to see what happens now that the ball is back in Shkreli’s court.
