The National Performed Two New Songs On ‘Fallon’ Last Night

For a bunch of guys who love to brood, the National sure are busy. A documentary about the band just premiered at Tribeca Film Festival, the Dessner brother-curated Crossing Brooklyn Ferry music festival goes down this weekend in, well, Brooklyn, and they’re about to play the same song for six hours at MoMA, because art. On top of all that, they’ve also got a new album, Trouble Will Find Me (due out May 21st), to promote and tour behind.

Last night on Fallon, they premiered two new songs from the record, “Sea of Love” and “I Need My Girl,” and they didn’t sound the least bit exhausted, proving once and for all that the key to a healthy life is a nice suit and whiskey.
