How Does Radiohead Feel About Avril Lavigne Singing Their Songs At The Top Of Her Lungs?

Earlier today, Taylor Swift’s favorite punk rocker Avril Lavigne released the music video for “Here’s to Never Growing Up,” an anthem for anyone whose parents TOTALLY didn’t give them enough money when they just wanted to go to the mall with Katie, and GOD MOM STOP BEING SO UNCOOL. The song was written by, among others, Avril’s husband Chad Kroeger, which means that the guy from Nickelback actually wrote down the following line on his denim jacket, which is what Canadians use instead of paper: “Singing Radiohead at the top of our lungs.”

HEY THAT REFERENCE SPEAKS TO ME BECAUSE NOSTALGIA, is the emotion that generation-definer is meant to invoke, as does the fact that the entire video is a nod to Avril’s breakout hit “Complicated,” which, f*ck you, is still great. But how does Radiohead feel about the line, and Avril’s shirt featuring their logo, too?

HE LOVES IT.
