Jeff Tweedy Will Spend Some Of Wilco’s Hiatus On A 2018 North American Solo Tour

When Wilco announced a string of shows near the end of 2017, the band noted, “These will be the last Wilco shows of 2017 AND the band plan to take most, if not all, of 2018 off from the road. So this will be your last chance for a good long while.”

Wilco’s touring hiatus doesn’t mean that Jeff Tweedy will take much time to rest, though: He just finished a series of UK shows, and now he’s announced that he’ll be touring North America in April. He’ll start in Michigan before trekking through Canada, Vermont, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Illinois. After that, he’ll play at some European festivals in August and September.

Tweedy has spent time on projects aside from Wilco over the past few years, first with a 2014 album with his son Spencer (credited to Tweedy and called Sukierae), then with his debut solo album that came out last June, Together At Last.
