‘Joel, The Lump of Coal’ By The Killers And Jimmy Kimmel Is The ‘Greatest Holiday Song Ever Recorded’*

Every year since 2006, according to Jimmy Kimmel, The Killers record a holiday song and give the proceeds away to charity. After collaborating with the likes of Elton John and others in the past, The Killers decided to work with Jimmy Kimmel this year. The result is “Joel, the Lump of Coal.”

Believe it or not, it’s actually a really good song (and music video), and while it is tongue in cheek, it nails all the important holiday themes. It’s like a Killers song with They Might Be Giants lyrics.

There’s a lot of goofing around in the first half of the clip, but if you want to jump straight to the song (and you should), it’s at 5:18.
