Kanye West Didn't Start A WHOIS Service, But Man This Fake is Convincing

Kanye, for those who don’t obsessively follow the guy, started a web company last year, Donda Media. Apparently, the Internet believes he started it because, based on available evidence:

  • He thought previous WHOIS services were lacking his exact style.
  • He wanted a company with a logo that looked kind of like a teapot.

Thus, Donda Media’s supposed first public venture: Whodat.biz (Kanye is a New Orleans Saints fan?). It’s basically a WHOIS service done in Kanye’s inimitable style. Namely giant-a$s fonts.

It is, of course, a complete and total fake, but it’s a pretty convincing one. It also says a lot about how we view the musician that we were taken in by what amounts to a couple of font choices.

And is it so wrong that we wanted Kanye to start “the Facebook of websites?” Because for all we know, he’s working on it.
