It’s safe to say that Beyoncé stole the Super Bowl 50 halftime show right from under Coldplay, reminding us all that she is no one’s “special guest.” People on Twitter responded with the same adoration that Beyoncé usually elicits from her fans, and she definitely had people at the game on their feet during her performance. One of the people inspired to shake what their momma gave them was Lady Gaga, who crushed the National Anthem at the kickoff. Gaga was clearly enjoying herself, and her enthusiastic dancing was documented by actress Marcia Gay Harden, of all people.

Bey and Mother Monster previously collaborated on the songs “Telephone” and “Video Phone,” so maybe this is a sign that a part three is long overdue. Honestly, the two should have teamed up again during the halftime show. Gaga probably would have been a more dynamic choice than Chris Martin. Regardless, it looks like Gaga had a well-earned break after reminding people that there really is an incredible set of pipes hidden beneath the meat dresses and Ryan Murphy.
