I have to give Lady Gaga credit: This was much more fascinating than I thought it would be. It’s a 14-minute video directed my Gaga herself that held my attention completely for 80-85% of the time, which is saying a lot. Despite what you may think of her whole fame monster act, and I’m certainly kinda over it, the woman is a major talent, and perhaps she’s got some filmmaker in her?
More than anything, this is a biography on Gaga’s life pre-fame, and it’s in many ways a love letter to New York. The highly anticipated video/short film “leaked” last night on Perez Hilton’s awful website, but the official version was posted this morning.
