Just because things get heated on the court between LeBron James and Drake doesn’t mean the two aren’t friends off the court, as established when the two men hugged it out following the Cavs blowout win over The Raptors this past spring.
The camaraderie continued last month when Drizzy’s Summer Sixteen tour stopped in LeBron’s hometown. As King of the Land, Drizzy brought out the NBA champion to serve as hype man while he performed “Pop Style.” This time around, LeBron got to play hype-man from the VIP section. “Hype” being a gross, very gross understatement.
The energetic baller was in the building when Drake’s concert came to Staples Center in Los Angeles Wednesday night, and LeBron was captured going the hammest of HAMs to Drake’s “Grammy” hit from his Views album. Lovely wife Savannah James was there too, looking, for the most part, completely unbothered by her husband’s stan-like shenanigans. I’m guessing it’s probably because Drake’s music and LeBron damn near losing his mind are all part of his pregame routine at their household.
The NBA season officially starts next month and the two will likely go back to fake-hating each other’s guts then. But for now? Turn up!
