In a recent interview with Metal Hammer, Marilyn Manson announced that a collaboration between himself and Jonathan Davis, lead singer of Korn, is in the works. Manson is going on tour this summer with Smashing Pumpkins, but says that he and Davis are kicking around ideas for a new project.

“Jonathan and I used to be really close,” Manson told Metal Hammer. “We hadn’t seen each other in quite some time. Now he and I are talking about doing something completely unexpected together.”

Completely unexpected, huh? Well, Davis is currently working on a country album with Big & Rich, so it’s doubtful they’ll go in that direction. What could these two knuckleheads possibly come up with? How about smooth and sultry R&B? Or maybe a little light reggae? I got it… an album of acoustic covers.

Guess we’ll have to wait to find out.

In the meantime, check out Manson with the Smashing Pumpkins this summer, where each show will allegedly end with Manson joining the Pumpkins on “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.” Seriously. We think.
