We’ve already talked about Marvel’s refusal to stop when it comes to their hip-hop variants. The first batch will be in your local comic book shop in October, but, in the meantime, they’ve decided to unveil one more set, this time paying homage to Tical, Death Certificate, Doggystyle, and Blowout Comb.

Here’s the dope thing about these variants, though, aside from the obvious: They’re putting a spotlight on comics and characters that normally wouldn’t get it. I’m not saying that Old Man Logan needs the props because any book starring Wolverine, young or old, is going to get more than enough attention and will be re-printed probably six times before the sun goes down. But, a Red Wolf and a Hell Cat book need all the shine they can get. I love comic books and get hype every Wednesday to cop the latest and greatest, but I’d be lying if I said I knew who Red Wolf was before he showed up on the cover of one of my favorite albums, Tical.

Marvel Editor-in-Chief, Axel Alonso, told EW that these are “four of the most iconic album covers ever” so here’s the question: What album covers are left for Marvel to show love to?
