With the sickness and sadness of the events in Florida this weekend still very much wafting throughout the early summer air, Sir Paul McCartney and Demi Lovato are the latest celebrities to to express their support for the victims of this weekend’s deadly mass shooting in Orlando, with both doing so Tuesday night. As entertainers, they join Lady Gaga and Beyonce in paying tribute to the victims, as well as late night hosts Seth Meyers, Samantha Bee and Stephen Colbert, all feeling the need to speak out and voice their support.
McCartney, who is currently on tour in Europe and was playing in Berlin, Germany on Tuesday night, took to center stage with his band, all of the band holding up a rainbow flag. McCartney later draped the flag across his shoulders, telling the crowd in German that “we stand together with Orlando,” a sentiment he later echoed on Twitter.

Lovato, who is currently on tour with Nick Jonas, took to Twitter to express her sympathy and sadness over the horrific acts. The singer has been a passionate defender and advocate of the LGBT community. The Jonas/Lovato tour recently announced the cancellation of scheduled concerts in North Carolina; a protest of the state’s controversial bathroom bill, which regulates access to public bathrooms.

We hurt.
We mourn.
We argue.
We settle.
We need to stop the cycle.#Orlando #PulseShooting— Demi Lovato (@ddlovato) June 14, 2016
