Little-known indie artist Miley Cyrus made a surprise appearance during Mike Will Made It’s set at South by Southwest last night, performing her verse from “23” and “We Can’t Stop” and shooting people in the crowd with water-guns. Also in attendance at the Fader Fort were Future, Rae Sremmurd, and the male Miley, Riff Raff. At one point, the former-Hannah Montana commented, “This is Texas. I don’t know how f*cking high you are, but we’re high as f*ck up here.”
There are many ways a statement beginning with “this is Texas” could go. “This is Texas… eat dead cow until your heart explodes.” “This is Texas… love it or leave it.” “This is Texas… [fires pistols into the air for five full minutes].” I’m not sure what being in the Lone Star State has to do with getting f*cking high, but it does give me an idea for a television show about a worldwide pop star who pretends to be a normal girl. I’ll call it, Mary Jane Texas.
