With the passing of the iconic Motörhead frontman, Lemmy Kilmister, many fans have been thinking of ways to honor the musician. Dave Grohl recently got an “Ace of Spades” tattoo to honor his friend, Slash performed an insane cover “Ace of Spades,” and Metallica’s Kirk Hammett wrote a touching poem about his idol. Those are all very nice ways to honor someone who has meant a lot to you, but for some Lemmy fans, it’s just not enough.

One anonymous fan in particular has created a Change.org petition to officially change the name of a Jack Daniels and Coke to “A Lemmy.”  This petition seems to be a little better than the one proposing the name of the heavy metal element be changed to “Lemmium.” In the “Lemmy” petition, the creator says:

A Jack Daniels and Coke will forever be associated with Ian Fraser “Lemmy” Kilmister, the iconic founder of Motorhead. To celebrate and remember one of Rock and Roll’s true legends, I petition everyone to henceforth and hereafter refer to the combination of Jack Daniels Whiskey and Coca-Cola as a “Lemmy”.

Let it be so.

The petition is currently a little more than 1,000 shy of its 5,000 signatures goal. Help honor a music legend, sign the petition, then go pour yourself A Lemmy.
