This Music Festival Will Allow You To Bring Pills (But Only Five)

Music festivals and drugs, if we’re being honest, have gone hand-in-hand since people decided to congregate for a number of days constituted by youthful freedom and filth. However, as of more recent times, police have attempted to crack down on the use of illegal drugs at these festivals following a number of deaths, they’ve even considered banning EDM festivals in L.A. entirely. Yet, in Amsterdam, they have a slightly different view on things.

NME is reporting that the Amsterdam Dance Event will not charge any attendees who comply with their five-pill or fewer rule when it comes to how much Ecstasy each respective festival-goer has on their person.

“Amsterdam Dance Event is currently being held in the Dutch city, marking its 20th year. Its line-up features some of the biggest producers in the world, including Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, David Guetta and more.

Previously, the legal possession limit at the festival was one pill. Now, however, the festival has announced a ‘five pill or fewer’ policy.”

The festival loosened the rule despite experiencing three deaths just at last year’s ADE. While something like this probably won’t come to America any time soon (but who knows, MDMA was legal in the U.S. until 1986), we probably can’t recommend traveling to a country you’ve never been to only to take a bunch of Molly because a festival said it was okay. That seems like it would be bad advice. But, if you have that very poorly advised itch, it’s there for you to take. Or you could burn calories another way.
