Everything You Need To Know About The Song Pharrell Williams Will Perform At This Year’s Oscars

Noted hat aficionado Pharrell Williams is seemingly everywhere these days, and fresh off his Grammy performance with Daft Punk and Stevie Wonder of “Get Lucky”, the N.E.R.D. frontman will be back on stage to perform his song “Happy” from the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack during the 2014 Oscars on March 2nd. Considering he’s up against a song from U2 from a Nelson Mandela movie, his chances of winning (and recreating this gif) are slight, but who knows.

If you haven’t heard it, here’s the track. If it doesn’t make you hug at least one person today, you need Jesus in your life.

As if that’s not enough “Happy”, Pharrell actually has a 24 Hour version, called the 24hoursofhappy that is filmed around L.A. with celebrity cameos by: Jimmy Kimmel, The Minions from Despicable Me, Urijah Faber, Kelly Osbourne,  Magic Johnson, Jamie Foxx, amongst others.

I’ve seen N.E.R.D. in concert several times and Pharrell has a tendency to pull up good looking ladies on-stage, hopefully that trend will continue. I can just picture him performing while Helen Mirren twerks in the background and Taylor Swift constantly thinks she’s being invited onstage.

In the very least, Pharrell should be the Provider of the most entertaining moment of this year’s Oscar ceremony.
