Phil Collins Came Out Of Retirement To Sing ‘In The Air Tonight’ At His Son’s School

Let’s get this out of the way now: Eminem is full of sh*t. You know that song by Phil Collins, “In the Air of the Night” (not the name of the song, Slim), about that guy who could’ve saved that other guy from drownin’, but didn’t, then Phil saw it all? Didn’t happen. It’s an urban legend, like Rod Stewart’s semen stomach-pump and diabetes. It’s still a great song, though, and last week, Collins, who’s put his singing career “on hold” since 2012, came out of semi-retirement to sing it at his son’s middle school.

He performed “Land of Confusion,” too, but that doesn’t involve death. Or air drum solos.
