Chance The Rapper, Jeremih And DMX Join Puff Daddy And The Family In Chicago

Puff Daddy and his Bad Boy Records crew are jumping on the ‘90s nostalgia train. The man known occasionally as Diddy or Sean Combs has brought together many of the big names from his record label in the ‘90s, Mase, Lil Kim, Faith Evans, and so on, for a big reunion tour. They had an epic reunion show in Brooklyn earlier this year, but then the tour had to be put on hold while Puff Daddy recuperated from an injury. Now that Puffy is healthy, the tour kicked off in Chicago on Friday and Bad Boy Records pulled out all the stops.

With the roster Puff Daddy has put together, he probably didn’t need special guests, but he had them. Since he was in Chicago, it is probably unsurprising that Diddy brought Chance the Rapper, who is Chicago royalty, out to perform. He performed “No Problem,” and needless to say it went over well. Then fellow Chicagoan Jeremih was brought out to sing his song “Oui.”

Two big time Chicago musicians would have more than sufficed. However, Puffy Daddy then brought out another blast from the past, DMX. The world’s most popular barking rapper, and fellow ‘90s hip hop kingpin, may not have the same Chicago connections as Puffy’s other guests, but anybody who is excited for a Bad Boy Records reunion was probably going to be stoked to see DMX as well.

This tour has certainly set the bar high for future shows. It will be hard for Puffy to match this Chicago concert. Not that he won’t try.
