Someone Dubbed Daddy Yankee’s ‘Gasolina’ Over This Spastic Radiohead Performance And It’s Glorious

Radiohead are one of the biggest bands in the world and one of the hottest concert tickets around. They’ve made their bones through the years with their compelling, atmospheric live-shows that are chocked full of moments of high-drama and intense intrigue. During one of their more recent gigs, lead singer and front man Tom Yorke was really feeling the music blasting away behind him and went into a spastic, 40-second dance, filled with air punches, hip swivels and plenty of ass-shaking.

Because this particularly fantastic piece of footage found its way onto the Internet, it inevitably made it’s way into the hands of some creative folks who picked it up and decided to play with it. The most entertaining reimagination came from one Twitter user who finally put to bed the age-old question, “What would it look like if Radiohead got really into reggaeton?” In a word: mesmerizing.

Twitter user Zareh3000 didn’t just pick any old reggaeton song either. No, he picked the reggaeton song; Daddy Yankee’s 2004 crossover hit “Gasolina.” Even people unfamiliar with the Puerto Rican fusion genre have probably heard this song at one point or another. It currently has a staggering 227 million views on YouTube alone. If Radiohead had any kind of sense they would almost certainly need to slip in a bit of this classic track into their next set. We already know that guitarist Jonny Greenwood has no issues poking fun of Yorke during a show.
