There’s still a debate raging over the inherent genius (or lack thereof) when it comes to Kanye West. Is Kanye a modern day prophet, or is he simply an artist capable of cashing in on modern ennui and speaking to a lost generation? Kanye’s Famous video is perhaps the perfect argument for either side of that coin, creating controversy and a bold statement using wax figures of culturally-relevant figures all in bed together. The Taylor Swift fallout has perhaps overshadowed the video, which in and of itself says something, albeit it is a muddled message.
But Kanye hasn’t forgotten about Famous and the statement that he intended to make, oh no. He’s taken his uber-expensive wax model show on the road by creating an art exhibit out of the whole thing, with the whole Jenner-Kardashian girls in attendance to document this experience even if Kanye wasn’t there.

Well, that isn’t entirely true. In pure Kanye fashion he was there even though he wasn’t actually, physically there. Instead there was a telerobot Kanye West trawling through the exhibit via video chat and it’s as strange as you would imagine it to be.

So while it is interesting to consider Kanye’s Famous as an art exhibit, it is perhaps even more interesting to consider a robot wheeling around the exhibit with a telepresent Kanye West like something out of an episode of Community watching over everyone beholding his work.
