Ruby Rose Pulls Back On Her Katy Perry Criticism: ‘Being Mean Doesn’t Suit Me’

The release of Katy Perry’s “Swish Swish” caused some to smell blood in the water, citing the reported feud between Taylor Swift and the pop star. The song takes aim at an unnamed target but it didn’t take long for many to connect the dots, especially Orange Is The New Black star and Taylor Swift squad member Ruby Rose. Almost immediately after the song was released, Rose let out a string of tweets that lashed out at Perry for “going low” against “the people I love.”

She also took a swipe at Perry’s sales but must’ve taken her criticism a bit too far because she pulled back and pointed out that “being mean doesn’t suit me”:

She does invoke “karma” in her latest string of Tweets from Saturday, seemingly attempting to take the high road and leave the conclusion of this latest chapter up to fate.

It should be noted that Rose received plenty of replies and comments from fans of Perry, criticizing her for the initial criticism on Thursday night and this apparent reversal. You’d have to think that would help lead to the change of tone, along with the personal feelings. Katy Perry performed the song on SNL last night and Swift was far from anybody’s mind during the performance. If the song is about Taylor Swift, Perry certainly isn’t confirming any of it.
