St. Vincent Dressed Up As A Toilet While Debuting A New Song At A Fundraiser

Annie Clark, better known as St. Vincent, is one of the most creative and talented guitar gods going, but she’s almost just as recognized for her eccentric and forward-thinking fashion sense.

Tuesday night, the enchanting rocker headlined a charity benefit at New York City’s Le Poisson Rouge, and she truly outdid herself by miraculously pulling off what appears to be a purple toilet costume, accessorized with sunglasses, of course. She performed some of her classics, including “Bring Me Your Loves” and “Marry Me,” in addition to presenting energetic new material and serenading her model/actress girlfriend, Cara Delevingne, who danced along with the crowd.

Other musicians who performed at the benefit included Father John Misty, Nina Persson, Rufus Wainwright and Martha Wainwright, and Elysian Fields.

The sold-out show raised funds for Jasper Johnson, the son of St. Vincent’s longtime drummer Matt Johnson (who dressed as a unicorn for the occasion). In February, Jasper suffered a debilitating seizure and will require years of costly rehabilitation to rebuild physical and cognitive abilities. The severity of the seizure left him with anoxic brain injury that is similar to a stroke.

If you missed it, you can still donate to Jasper’s recovery fund here. Watch the fan-shot footage below:
