Brrrr! Things have been a bit icy in the love life of Taylor Swift lately. First, there’s the looming specter of her rumored breakup with Tom Hiddleston making news this week, then, there’s the still stinging Calvin Harris who has been licking his wounds in the press again. He told British GQ that “all hell broke loose” after they broke up, but he seems to be regretting his bitter Twitter rant the tiniest bit.
However, what can’t be undone is the Instagram-deleting-spree that Harris pretty blatantly went on after the two split. All the photos that had helped define the couple’s relationship — that infamous Swan pic, the straight-out-of-a-movie London double date, their romantic beach vacation — were suddenly gone.

Taylor eventually deleted most of their Instagram posts too, partially because fans kept trolling them with comments of “DELETE THIS!!” I’m sure, but it was Calvin who initiated the unfollowing and deleting spree (He eventually re-followed.)
I will go on record defending the surge of emotions that marks a breakup. We have all been there and social media only makes it harder to process the idea that someone decided not to adore you anymore, let alone might’ve maybe cheated on you in the meantime? But what I’m really interested here is Taylor Swift’s behavior.
After the Calvin interview went live last night, I took a brief scroll through who she follows on Instagram. Not only is Calvin still there, but Tom Hiddleston is too! That doesn’t seem like the behavior of the girl who wrote “You Should’ve Said No” or “Better Than Revenge,” now does it? Proud of you Taylor. Unbothered is the new petty. After all, she has uh, bigger drama to deal with at the moment. I’ll join Team Yeezy and keep praying for peace.
