“Desperado” was one of the best songs on Rihanna’s criminally overlooked Anti. The moody track was always a blues song, even with the spooky synth sounds, skittering drum patterns and Rihanna’s trademark icy delivery. But now indie-rock duo The Kills have gone and made that fact more evident, with a smoky acoustic cover of the song. Give it a listen up top.
The Kills released the track as part of their upcoming acoustic EP Echo Home Non-Electric. The pair of Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince are dropping the EP to celebrate 15 years as a band. The tracklist conveys that with acoustic versions of songs from their first release Black Rooster and their most recent release Ash & Ice. Check out the full tracklist below.
