“Smooth” is unquestionably the greatest song ever recorded by Carlos Santana and Rob Thomas to win three Grammys and have Thomas’ wife in the music video. NO ONE DENIES THIS. It’s also a great song for presidents to walk into rooms to. No more of that “Hail to the Chief” garbage. It’s time for real change.
We, the undersigned, call on the President of the United States to change the official Presidential anthem from “Hail to the Chief” to Santana ft. Rob Thomas’ “Smooth”.
Playing Smooth shall precede the appearance of the president at official functions and gatherings. The song shall be performed by an appropriate live band when appropriate. (Ideally, Carlos Santana and Rob Thomas.) God Bless America. (Via)
