Horror Strikes A Disney Resort As An Alligator Drags A Two-Year Old Into A Lagoon

A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday night in Walt Disney World when an alligator attacked a two-year old child, dragging the young boy into a lagoon at The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Details are sketchy at the moment, but what is known is that helicopters are circling the lagoon at the moment, searching for the child.

Twitter user ChristianTheMagician was in the vicinity of the horrific event when it occurred, and has been documenting the search for the missing child. One of the more horrific details of the attack: the child’s father jumped into the water to wrestle with the gator. While it’s still heresay as to what happened exactly, the fact of the matter is that a child was grabbed by an alligator and dragged into the murky water.

One theory posited by the Twitter user claims that there was a “movie night” on the beach of the lagoon. Apparently the gator might have attacked the people on the beach during the activity due to their close vicinity to the water.

As of this writing, no names have been released to the media. The Grand Floridian Resort is one of three hotels on Disney’s monorail line, and just one stop away from Magic Kingdom. More details to come as they are announced, and thoughts are with the child’s family at this time.
