Bald Eagles Are Hatching Live In Washington D.C. And You Can Watch On Live Stream

As of the publishing of this article, a bald eagle named “Mr. President” and her partner “The First Lady” is watching over a two eggs in a poplar tree in the U.S. National Arboretum. Thanks to modern technology and everlasting curiosity, we are able to spy on what’s being called “the most patriotic nest cam in the United States” via live cam. All of the other nest cams have officially been put on blast.

According to the official site of the #EagleCam, this is the first time a mated pair of bald eagles have nested in that location since 1947 (which was back when America was great).

This afternoon, an eaglet busted free of its shell, and of course it was awe inspiring. And the best part is that people were able to see the incredible moment nature live as it happened in high-definition.

It’s amazing and a privilege to see these lil guys emerge from their shells for the first time, but it may not all be cute chirps and badass looking eagles all the time. The Department of Agriculture and the people behind the #EagleCam have a warning just in case things possibly get real in nature:

This is a wild eagle nest and anything can happen. While we hope that two healthy juvenile eagles will end up fledging from the nest this summer, things like sibling rivalry, predators, and natural disaster can affect this eagle family and may be difficult to watch.

The American Eagle Foundation expects the second egg to hatch this weekend. They are currently taking predictions on when exactly the tiny beak will break through its egg shell via the most patriotic hashtag, #EagleCam. Keep in mind that there are multiple #EagleCams going down right now, but only one is the most patriotic.
