‘The Daily Show’ Is Pretty Sure Trump’s Nordstrom Battle Is All Part Of His ‘White House Hustle’

If you were thinking Trump’s presidential foray was a ploy to somehow make money, you’re not alone. Trevor Noah is thinking the same thing on The Daily Show, pointing out the recent developments in Melania Trump’s lawsuit and the president’s public feud with Nordstrom over his daughter’s clothing line. It’s all part of what they call the White House Hustle.

The details behind Melania Trump’s lawsuit point out that a news story allegedly hurt her reputation for profiting off of her “once in a lifetime” opportunity. The First Lady denied this in a statement, but Noah doesn’t buy it. He also thinks that the target of her lawsuit is misplaced, pointing out that her “p*ssy grabbing” husband has hurt her image more than any news story.

From here, he doesn’t let up on Trump. Not only does he bring up the military reportedly buying space in Trump Tower, but the president’s war with Nordstrom also gets plenty of attention. Noah zeroes in on “truth scarecrow” Kellyanne Conway and her blatant advertising for Ivanka’s clothing line on Fox News as the biggest indicator that it is part of the “hustle,” but that’s almost the icing on the cake following his tweets that were posted the day before and then retweeted by the main POTUS account.

Just don’t think The Daily Show isn’t sympathetic to the Trump plight. That’s why they end the segment with a fashion show to show off some of Ivanka Trump’s clothes and how they can help you “lead” a nation alongside your father.
