The Democratic National Convention is in full swing in Philadelphia this week with one huge night left to go. So far, Americans have tuned in each evening to hear speeches from the likes of President Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, President Bill Clinton, Vice President Joe Biden, and Senators Bernie Sanders, Tim Kaine, and Elizabeth Warren. According to Nielson, opening night of the DNC drew 26 million viewers, while Tuesday night drew 24.7 million.

In contrast, the Republican National Convention drew 23 million viewers on its opening night and 19.8 the second. RNC speakers on nights one and two included Melania Trump, Donald Trump Jr., New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, Ben Carson, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

In response to his dwarfed ratings, Trump sent a Thursday email to supporters and asked them to refrain from watching DNC coverage. “Unless you want to be lied to, belittled, and attacked for your beliefs, don’t watch Hillary’s DNC speech tonight,” the Republican presidential hopeful wrote. “Instead, help Donald Trump hold her accountable, call out her lies, and fight back against her nasty attacks.”

Night four of the DNC promises to be a big one with speeches from Hillary and Chelsea Clinton, Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, civil rights leader Dolores Huerta, basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and more.
