Wolf Blitzer Just Accidentally Made Donald ‘Drumpf’ Again

Things are a bit tense right now as we all wait to see who gets the ultimate prize (a splintered electorate and probably a divided congress) but if you’re able to pause your freak out and stress eating for a moment to recall a lighter time when John Oliver made the term “Make Donald Drumpf Again” a thing, then Wolf Blitzer just became the MVP of your election night. His excited shout outs to minuscule shifts in the Florida vote count not withstanding. Another one, Wolf? Another one? We get it — it’s close.

Earlier in the evening, Blitzer doubtlessly fumbled when he seemingly called Trump by his Oliver-given name. It’s a small slip in a night of fast-moving news and whatever it is when you tell people that 1% of a state is reporting and a candidate has 37 votes, but we could all use a laugh, and fresh entries into the Wolf Blitzer Gaffe Hall Of Fame are always welcome. (Remember when he memorialized Prince by recalling Jimi Hendrix’s “Purple Haze”?)

No word yet on if Blitzer will get a cut of any “Make Donald Drumpf Again” hats that are sure to fly off the shelves in light of this faux pas, but we will keep an eye on this story as it develops.

Instant Update: No, we won’t.
