Donald Trump’s Campaign Manager Claims He’s Actually Winning Because Of ‘Undercover’ Voters

Last week, Donald Trump’s attorney pretended negative polling data doesn’t exist, and now the campaign’s high-ranking staffers are getting in on the game. Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway told the UK’s Channel 4 News that her candidate is actually winning the race, and that polling data should not be trusted because so many Trump voters are “undercover.” In an interview for the British documentary President Trump: Can he really win?, Conway dismissed Hillary Clinton‘s commanding lead as “cherry-picked polling numbers that are put out there by media outlets that are also bent on [Trump’s] destruction.”

“Donald Trump performs consistently better in online polling where a human being is not talking to another human being about what he or she may do in the election,” Conway said. “It’s because it’s become socially desirable, especially if you’re a college educated person in the United States of America, to say that you’re against Donald Trump. The hidden Trump vote in this country is a very significant proposition.”

The interviewer asked whether Conway and her staff had been able to been able to “put a number” on this hidden Trump vote. Conway answered affirmatively, but said she cannot discuss it. “It’s a project we’re doing internally,” she said. “I call it the undercover Trump voter. But it’s real.”

In an excerpt from the same documentary, Conway calls Clinton “a bore who many voters think is not trustworthy and not honest.” She later asks her interviewer, “You think you would know who Hillary Clinton is if she wasn’t married to Bill Clinton? Prove it.”
