At a campaign rally in Tallahassee, Florida on Wednesday, Donald Trump accepted Joe Biden’s invitation to fight him “behind the gym.” Although, like a strange game of telephone, Trump somehow misremembered Biden’s invitation and responded that he would “love” to fight him in “the back of the barn.”
“Did you see where Biden wants to take me? To the back of the barn,” Trump said. “Me. He wants it. I’d love that. I’d love that. Mr. Tough Guy. Ya know, he’s Mr. Tough Guy. You know when he’s Mr. Tough Guy? When he’s standing behind a microphone by himself. He wants to bring me to the back of the barn. Oooh. Some things in life you could really love doing.”
Biden made his comments last week while stumping for Hillary Clinton in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Speaking of the Republican nominee’s comments to Billy Bush that were recorded on a hot mic, the vice president called Trump’s words “the textbook definition of sexual assault.”
“The press always asks me don’t I wish I were debating him,” Biden told the crowd. “No, I wish we were in high school. I could take him behind the gym. That’s what I wish.”
