Donald Trump has outdone himself during his past week on the GOP campaign trail. He made Bill O’Reilly look like the voice of reason during a heated discussion of Syrian refugees and ISIS. He praised attendees at an Alabama rally after they “roughed up” a Black Lives Matter protester. He also made several bizarre statements of recollection about 9/11. Trump said he witnessed people jumping from the Twin Towers, and he also saw Muslims cheering in the streets. He then praised the practice of waterboarding.
However, Trump may have hit a new low in the above video footage, which was captured during a rally in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Trump attempted to defend his 9/11 statements while discussing New York Times investigative reporter Serge Kovaleski’s memory of a previous article.
