A Donald Trump Rally In San Jose Erupts Into Violence As Police Can’t Seem To Keep Control

A Trump rally in San Jose, California, lead to some of the worst violence we’ve seen between protestors and supporters during the campaign. Protestors were captured on camera beating Trump supporters, throwing eggs and other items, and attacking vehicles as supporters attempted to leave the area.

Many of the sights were almost unreal, resembling the type of action you may have seen during the civil- rights movement, far from what would be expected in 2016 America. But this is real, for all to see on television.

As CNN reports, protests seemed to spill into the streets away from the events and many Trump supporters were left fending for themselves as the more violent members of the crowds were in police custody:

As Trump supporters exited the rally, protesters shouted insults at them and accused them of being racists. As the demonstrators bunched around the event, riot police pushed many of them back. A woman made it through the protesters, taunted them and waved her middle finger back to their screams. She was cornered and egged immediately.

Scuffles broke out between pro- and anti-Trump demonstrators. At one point, a man was sucker-punched and knocked to the ground and police arrested his assailant. In another instance, demonstrators closed in on a Trump supporter and started punching him in the face, and a Trump protester tried to protect the man being attacked and help him and other Trump supporters move safely through the crowd.

Not all of the protestors seemed to be interested in clashing with Trump supporters, with some peacefully calling for “no hate” and other common protest trademarks:

But the violence is what will highlight this event and hold on to the headlines, with many shocking incidents occurring right in front of television cameras or hoisted cellphones:
