Donald Trump And Ben Carson Dancing Horribly To ‘Stand By Me’ Will Eat Away At Your Soul

The presidential campaign of Donald Trump has presented the American public with many questionable statements, vitriolic attacks and increasingly large protests. And being that the New York real estate mogul currently holds the most delegates among his GOP rivals with 673, it’s a sure bet he won’t be going away anytime soon. Especially now that video exists of the 69-year-old would-be politician and his potential running mate, Ben Carson, dancing to a horrifying cover of the Ben E. King classic, “Stand By Me.”

The tweaked version of the song was sung by singer Beau Davidson, an Emmy Award-winning singer and songwriter who maintains an active political profile whenever he’s not serenading both establishment and man-of-the-orange-people Republicans. (Davidson performed at the 2012 Republican National Convention when then-Trump endorsee Mitt Romney was the nominee.)

So, how did the country music artist alter the classic song? Horrifyingly, as choice lyrics included lines like “Donald, stand by me,” “we’ll stand by you,” and “it don’t matter what Hillary does.” Additional Emmys are surely in Davidson’s future.

Then again, neither Trump nor his potential vice presidential pick seemed to mind. Both he and Carson danced throughout the three-minute song. And by “dance,” I mean they swayed to and fro in place, occasionally clapping and, when the mood struck, moving a single foot from one spot to another an inch away.
