Donald Trump’s Taco Bowl Receives The Weakest Defense From RNC Chair Reince Priebus

Donald Trump’s Cinco de Mayo celebration did not go off as planned. His taco-bowl photo, which included an enthusiastic “I love Hispanics!” caption, was widely panned by the internet. Adding to the general hilarity was the apparent image of his ex-wife, Marla Maples, who peeked out from underneath Trump’s lunch. Oddly enough, former Mexican President Vicente Fox used the same occasion to invite Trump to Mexico, but he may have reconsidered after seeing Trump’s obvious maneuver. And the responses to Trump’s sad gesture continued to spill forward, yet one reaction remained.

How exactly does the Republican National Committee — who acknowledged Trump as the party’s presumptive nominee — view Trump’s ridiculous attempt to convince voters that respects Hispanics? Trump can’t erase his constant promises to build The Wall and deport all illegal immigrants. Hillary Clinton’s team even seized the moment with this Twitter response.

Well, RNC chair Reince Priebus found himself on the receiving end of a very awkward inquiry. The man, who may have made a yuge mistake, spoke to reporters at a Politico-hosted event. Priebus looked as if he wanted to disappear but managed to eke out an answer to Mike Allen’s question:

“He’s trying. Honestly, he’s trying. I honestly think he understands that building and unifying and growing the party is the only way we’re going to win. I think he gets that.”

His answer was met with instantaneous laughter. This video clip is the most uncomfortable thing you’ll see today.
